Yes - there are no end of people who have messed up this operation, trying to do it themselves. I get weary of hearing about it. There are smart ways of going about this, and like most things, if you don’t know what you’re doing then there are going to be tears. Some won’t listen - and we prefer not to get involved with them.
How Much can I Save ? On average we have managed to reduce the costs by as much as 1/4 to 1/2. This has allowed our clients to both reduce their selling price, and increase their profit margin. This has resulted in an increase in sales as well. It does not get much better than that in business life. Very importantly it allows you to export, and gives you security against ‘copies’. Quality ? Wherever you are this is always a big issue. We have managed to get far better quality consistently than we have on average from this country. What is the Downside ? When you bring product from another country, you have a delay time in receiving it, and as a result you have to hold a higher inventory. How Much Do You Charge ? We charge for the time we spend. Some things are easy to set up. We have a massive data base of manufacturers. We take time to work through the IP protection issues and agreements, and overall strategy in this regard. Everybody has a different situation. There are issues of freight - economic batch sizes etc
